Like me? Well there's definitely Uncle Pete. Then the Beaubier twins but that's cheating because they fly too. Then you get your non-mutant speedsters and they're a whole other thing, usually some sorta device or alien tech or cosmic powers. Like, there are more people like me than there are people like Billy.
I wouldn't put it past Gansey honestly. He's got a quest and everything.
[Gansey's always seemed a bit like a storybook character, something from one of his mother's tellings of the old Irish myths Ronan was raised on. His allergy to bees like a strange sort of geas that Ronan couldn't help wanting to save him from.
Tommy is just so matter of a fact about it, that it hardly feels like a secret. He still asks K about it first, but it feels less like breaking a promise when he types it.]
Until I met K, I'd never known anyone like me aside from my dad. And he would never talk about it- just wrapped it up in pretty lies.

One of the first I remember was when I was small and my older brother had to haul me out of a fire because I brought back a flaming sword. I thought it'd be really cool.
And still no one would talk about it. I guess they thought if I didn't have the words -- maybe it'd be easier to hide?
[At sixteen he's still upset about it. It becomes the fuse ignited by Declan's lies, even if it isn't Declan's fault. He's still figuring out the shape of what he can do.]
