Lorna's still here. [The words were quiet, and sounded more like a sigh of relief than a statement.]

I mean, you all disappeared before the month started, so, like, three weeks? Not too long.

[She wasn't alone. She had her nephew and her sister, even if it was another universe or two.]

[Marcos, however, is not up on memes, because of the whole being on the lamb and only having burner phones and all. He's had worse living arrangements, of course, and that doesn't bother him.]

Right. [He runs a hand over his face before taking a seat again, looking over to Tommy.] Okay. Tell me more about this place.

[Still... he supposes he can try. Tommy hops himself up onto the dresser and sighs.]

First? Half the drawers in this are yours. Has clothes in it for you.

[He followed Tommy's motions and looks down at the dresser before looking back up to him.]

They just randomly put my cloths in there?

Not sure if they are ‘your’ clothes as in from home. I didn’t own anything that is here. But all they gave me is really nice.

Yeah...that's not creepy at all. [He shakes his head and goes over to the dresser, taking a moment to find the thumbprint reader and then looking up at Tommy dubiously.]

They have our thumbprints too? How are any of you okay with this?

Better question. What fucking choice do we have when we’re this far under some body of water? We gotta adapt to it.

Digging. [He says as he opens his set of drawers.] Not just rolling over. That's what choice you have.

[Well, people back home had mostly abandoned him. Again. And Wanda wanted him here. Wanted to be his mother. And then there was the important part.]

Better than dying by drowning. Or pressure. Or starvation. Do I like it here? No. But it’s a damn bit better than being dead. Because we can’t leave here easily. If we could? Billy would have come for me already. When your twin the god can’t come get you even all full of magic and powerful can’t get to you, you know your own powers aren’t getting you out.

[Okay, there's a lot in what Tommy just said that didn't make any sense, which means he'll think about it later.]
