[Marcos comes to pretty slowly, but sits up in the bed, taking a deep breath and turning to the other occupant of the bed, freezing when he sees it's not who it should be. He swallows, not immediately recognizing the boy.]

[Tommy is a light sleeper. Beyond light. Pin drops and he’s awake sleeper. Sure that had to change some with Soeedy, but not much. At all. So to say he hadn’t noticed Marco arriving would be accurate. To say the voice so close had him wide awake before the word ‘wake’.

Of course he was across the room, back to the wall, by the word ‘hey’ so that doesn’t help much.]

[There is a stranger in his bed. Getting into another person’s dome is supposed to be very hard. And this one is in his bed. Fuck. Does... he look familiar?]

[He nods, even as he runs a hand back through his hair and stands up from the bed. He doesn't have a problem with sharing a bed with another dude, really, it's just, you know, the whole situation has him on edge is all.]

Right on both counts. And you’ve been gone, like, three weeks.

[And a lot has changed. Including the addition of the protesting voice in the corner. Poor Speedy, got woken up. Tommy sighs and moves to the rig. And when he holds an arm out the fluffy baby sloth starts to grab at his arm. Slowly, of course. Speedy was still sleepy too.]

a day at the library; Halloween

[Loki's been mostly relaxing since his nightmare, and today he's in the library, collecting a few tomes of astronomy he hasn't read and moving into the reading room for some quiet, only to realize he wasn't alone.

He still takes a seat and opens a book before saying anything to him.]

[It was a place no one would think to come looking for him. Which was, of course, the point of it. Tommy's birthday was a day he always wanted to be alone. Well, no. It was more a he'd celebrated his birthday ONCE in nineteen years of life. He didn't really get the point. But the second Loki walks in he noticed the other man. And flinches. The self-help book he was reading ends up off the table, closed, and sat on in a second.]

Hey. I'm not. I'm just bored. And that's it. It was comics. I mean, no, I don't read those. It was a book on... Uh. Stars?

[He raised an eyebrow and chuckled.]

If you're going to lie, at least do so believably.

[Tommy sighs. He used to be REALLY good at lying.]

I think fast enough to count picoseconds accurately. I've literally counted to a million because I was bored. I just...

[He doesn't know where, not with his not-quite-uncle now living with him. Hard to get time alone.]

[It'd been trying, certainly, but nothing they hadn't weathered before. He felt the boy deserved a pick-me-up and he'd heard this particular food destination served "comfort food with a smile" which sounded promising, considering how much Tommy could eat, though he waited for him outside the dome.

It was Tommy. The wait wouldn't be long.]

Wait time? .076 seconds. The spheres complex was, relatively speaking, small. It wasn’t often Tommy broke out real speed, the last weeks had been jarring enough for him to feel the need for it.

So yeah, he was there quick, leaning against the wall near the door, raising an eyebrow at the Asgardian.

“Food, Huh? Always a good bribe. What do you want?”

The longer they're friends, the more convinced Loki is Tommy is the best friend for the impatient: they never have to wait. He rolls a shoulder in a shrug, a mischievous glint in his eye. Truth be told it, was always there, whether he was up to something or not. No wonder no one trusted him.

"Can I not simply invite a friend to a meal without suspicion?"

See, the mischief is half of why Tommy likes him. Speedsters who don’t prank are clearly doing it wrong. And they definitely bonded on his birthday with delayed mischief night.

“I mean most people can. But you? Could be a ploy to take over the sphere with me as a henchman. Which would be a smart choice because I could do the work of ten henchmen.”

He grins at that. If he smiles enough then pain can’t touch him. Clearly.

A Christmas Gift (forever late)

[In the place the package containing the mitts was left, Tommy will find a small wrapped package containing the following coffee mug with a picture of Speedy on the other side along with a full package of espresso ground coffee.]

Day after Christmas

[It takes her awhile to get her presents out but two brightly colored boxes arrive at Tommy's home with a card attached to it. It's a standard Christmas card with to Tommy and from Wanda written in pretty cursive. Inside the first gift is a stuffed bear with a t-shirt that reads 'I love you' and in the box is a decadent chocolate cake. Wanda's only just tried her hand at fancy cakes and she hopes he likes it.]

[No one, no one needs to know how stupidly moved Tommy is by the bear, which lives soon in Speedy’s habitat because he doesn’t want Marco to know it’s for Tommy and he really wants to squeeze it.

But yes cake she definitely gets to see the result of his love of, because she will get the plate back the next day.]

Sphere (Outside of Dome) - December 22nd

[Sitting outside of his home is a simple box and inside is a gift.

It was the perfect present. Inesa created a pair of pajamas for Tommy, with a cute image of a sloth on them. The outfit contains both a t-shirt and a pair of pajama pants. With it is also a matching sloth shirt for Speedy.

On the package is a note, written in Inesa's hand.]

Gar rolls over onto Tommy on the bed, having woken up moments before feeling rather turned on. He must have had some very hot dreams that he doesn't particularly remember the details of. He presses his lips to the other's jaw and then down his neck as he ruts his hips down so his cock rubs against the other's stomach. He isn't in a hurry to wake him up but he knows he will sooner or later.
