[Tommy is a light sleeper. Beyond light. Pin drops and he’s awake sleeper. Sure that had to change some with Soeedy, but not much. At all. So to say he hadn’t noticed Marco arriving would be accurate. To say the voice so close had him wide awake before the word ‘wake’.

Of course he was across the room, back to the wall, by the word ‘hey’ so that doesn’t help much.]

[There is a stranger in his bed. Getting into another person’s dome is supposed to be very hard. And this one is in his bed. Fuck. Does... he look familiar?]

Marco?

[brightboy]

[He nods, even as he runs a hand back through his hair and stands up from the bed. He doesn't have a problem with sharing a bed with another dude, really, it's just, you know, the whole situation has him on edge is all.]

Yep. And you're Speed, and this place is under the ocean...right?

Right on both counts. And you’ve been gone, like, three weeks.

[And a lot has changed. Including the addition of the protesting voice in the corner. Poor Speedy, got woken up. Tommy sighs and moves to the rig. And when he holds an arm out the fluffy baby sloth starts to grab at his arm. Slowly, of course. Speedy was still sleepy too.]

You’re Aunt Lorna’s squeeze. The one she had the kid with.

[A kid that would now be alone. Tommy isn’t happy about that.]

[He actually laughs at that, shaking his head.] "Squeeze?" We're not mobsters, Tommy, but...yeah. Her name's Dawn.

[And she's safe with Lorna's aunt.]

Dude, her dad founded the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. My mom and Uncle Quicksilver were both a part of it. Yes. We really are a connected family.

[Note to self, tell Billy that when he gets home. Should be good for laugh. Other note, figure out where Marco fits on the scale of uncles. Probably above Pietro and below Victor.]

Dawn, Luna, Billy, and Tommy. After Lorna, Pietro, and Wanda, I feel like the generations are getting less creative with names.

[His expression darkens slightly at that and he frowns, shaking his head.]

I'm not going to debate morality right now, Tommy, but her dad? The Hellfire Club? Not good options or good people.

[And then his frown turns into a glower.]

In Spanish, her name means Aurora. It's special. Screw you.

Like I’m ever going to claim that Grampneto is good people. He tried to kidnap Billy and me once. Geez.

[Wait, it means that? Well now Tommy is grinning.]

Dude I don’t know much about science, but aren’t auroras like, the northern lights or something? Those have to do with the Earth’s magnetism. That is a really GREAT damn for the daughter of a magnetokinetic. Serious props.

Pietro’s daughter? Princess on the moon. What was he thinking? Just looked around and named her after the first thing he saw. Billiam and I got the bad names then. Oh well, Mom’s got terrible choice in men, so what not bad taste in names?

Like I said, not into talking about it right now.

[He smiles, though, nodding.]

Aurora Borealis happens when photons hit the magnetosphere.

[And he raises a hand, a glow of shining light forming in his hand.]

Oh man, that sounds inappropriate, but night lights are nice. Now... What the fuck were you doing in my bed?

I...not...always. [You know what? The bed question was a good change of topic.]

What? I don't know, man, I just woke up there.

Yeah but why were you asleep in it? Weren’t you staying in the dorms before? Like, breaking into a guy’s house is so not cool.

I didn't-

[He takes a deep breath, running his hands back through his hair.]

Last night, I fell asleep in my own bed. Back home.

[So Marco is a new arrival. Which means he’s living with his not-quite-uncle.]

[Marcos gives a look around the place, frowning.]

You're serious.

As a heart attack. I don’t know why this place foisted you off on me rather than your lady-love, but here you are.

[He has to share his bed with someone.]

Lorna's still here. [The words were quiet, and sounded more like a sigh of relief than a statement.]

Where is she?

Of course she is. Where else would she be with this hell?

[Still, the question gets Tommy to raise an eyebrow. And shrug.]

I'm not my Aunt's keeper. Hell, Mom doesn't even know where I am all the time.

...how long ago was I here?

[How long has Lorna been alone?]

I mean, you all disappeared before the month started, so, like, three weeks? Not too long.

[She wasn't alone. She had her nephew and her sister, even if it was another universe or two.]

[He made a promise, that he'd never leave her alone again. This is a big deal, Tommy. Only, he gives a look around, frowning.]

...wait. This is the only room?

As in the only bedroom with the only bed? Yeah. There's the kitchen and the bathroom too, and the front room. But only this one bed.

[In fact, he smirks and laughs. Because he's definitely up on his memes]

And there was one bed.

[Marcos, however, is not up on memes, because of the whole being on the lamb and only having burner phones and all. He's had worse living arrangements, of course, and that doesn't bother him.]

Right. [He runs a hand over his face before taking a seat again, looking over to Tommy.] Okay. Tell me more about this place.

More? You might be asking the wrong person. I'm not exactly known for being a wealth of information. Or a wealth of anything but energy and sass.

[Still... he supposes he can try. Tommy hops himself up onto the dresser and sighs.]

First? Half the drawers in this are yours. Has clothes in it for you.

[brightboy]

[He followed Tommy's motions and looks down at the dresser before looking back up to him.]

They just randomly put my cloths in there?

Not sure if they are ‘your’ clothes as in from home. I didn’t own anything that is here. But all they gave me is really nice.
